Runjob Technical Meeting
Meeting Notes, 9-28-04

Present: Dave, Eric, Anzar, Greg, Jerry, Iain Bertram

(1) DZero Runjob Status and Plans

There are signs that Peter Love is working on it.

DZero reprocessing is delayed until January 1.   Specific request for mainstreaming the Shahkar based runjob version in DZero.

(Iain shows Peter Love's slides from the recent collaboration meeting,) 

Peter refused to give a date as to when he D0Reco running with D0Runjob.  

Contact Peter and arrange for a trip out to FNAL, late October. (Iain) 
    (A) 1-day design meeting, small, problems are outlined.  Prioritize.
    (B) Have FUNCTIONING core product by end of this trip.
(If expense is too high, have daily meetings.) 

Roadblocks: 

  (A) d0sandbox based on DMBs
  (B) Pressure to include current JIM entanglements in the new Runjob.
  (C) Pressure to use LCG resources

Greg:  He needs to prioritize.  Get core functionality working first.

D0Tools integration work has been delayed because of this.  

(2) Configurator Referencing

We need  "Loose" model at the basis of any more complicated method.
   (The Loose model is always supported by the Linker.)

Referencing/Dependency scheme should depend upon the Configurator.
   (Generalizing what kinds of traits and Boolean combinations of traits are allowed.) 
       -Is there a logic program out there already?  

Could also have more generic sanity checks on all values.

==> Once you have loose model, THEN you can form these boolean queries.

Context model is a good model for thinking about this in.  

Need an automatic dictionary generating system.  (Discussion on system versus user attributes.)
