autodest interface

The interface is a SAM command:
sam get destination
What you need to provide is metadata to a file which has a dataset in the CDF section of the metadata. The dataset provides the data tier and the data type. It will be checked that this is set correctly.
There are a few more client commands connected to the SAM autodest which tell you about the configuration of the auto destination server:
sam get autodest pnfs config:
sam get autodest storage destination details:
sam get registered autodest storage destinations:
And there are of course commands to change the configuration. But these are administrative commands, e.g. to provide a new pnfs database if the old one filled up:
samAutodestAdmin commands
A documentation of each commands can be found at the links. A pnfs database is considered to be full if it has the form: XX9999.9
The SAM autodest server is connected with the dbserver. Therefore it will only take affect if:

    "sam_db_srv" "v7_4_2a" "NULL" "" "current"
```
or a higher version is installed.

At the moment hese versions are installed only in the integration universe. So you could test by typing:

    ssh sam@cdfsam05
    source setups.sh
    setup sam
    cd swhite
    sam get destination  --descriptionFile=cdfMetadataRaw.py

or submitting to the CAF with the option:

    dhaccess=SAM_int
